Why Afrikaans Outreach Services?

At St Luke’s we are blessed to be a diverse community of people with backgrounds from all around the world. Our church body reflects our local community in Roseville, Lindfield and Killara and includes Australian, Chinese, Korean, Filipino and South African people. As part of our effort to serve God's people in our local community, we hold a quarterly South African Outreach church service in Afrikaans. We have noticed that large numbers of South Africans are migrating to Australia and are often eager and ready to join a church family upon arrival at their new home in Sydney, Australia. In our experience, an important part of successful immigration is to be grounded in a church as soon as possible.

The typical pattern is for South Africans to attend an outreach service, meet our church family and then integrate into our regular morning worship service.

All visitors are welcome every Sunday morning at 9:30am to our regular worship service. The services are always at our church building, (28 Lord Street, Roseville).
