Welcome to the final Afrikaans outreach service for the year!
This is also the popular, annual Afrikaans Christmas Carols Service.
We invite all Afrikaans expats to celebrate the Christmas truths in their mother tongue.
A one-day Men's Conference will be held at Roseville Presbyterian Church (28 Lord Street) on Saturday 3rd March, beginning at 10:45am.
Al Stewart will be the main speaker for the day speaking on "Encouragement & Endurance." Please RSVP to email@example.com. N.B. This event is not organised by St Luke's, but is hosted by us.
Our friends Justin and Rachel have served diligently and lovingly at St Luke's for the past two years, most notably as the church administrator, session clerk and in leading the youth bible study. Now it is time for them to move to the next phase of their journey.
St Luke’s: we have a chance to demonstrate our deep gratitude to them and to send them off with a cheer!
On Sunday the 4th of February 2018, after the worship service, we will host a “Send Off Party" at church.
A serious study of Genesis is crucial for any and every Christian. It is also a perfect starting point for anyone seriously considering the truth claims of Christianity.
This part of God's Word is foundational not only to the rest of the Bible, but to every aspect of life itself.
Why is there something rather than nothing? Why is the world not as peaceful as it could be? How should we relate to each other as fellow humans? What is the origin and meaning of life? Do we have a responsibility towards each other and towards God? Will someone rescue us? These are the types of big questions addressed in Genesis.
Join us in 2018 as we explore God's Word, given mercifully to us as a gift and blessing.
On the first Sunday of the new year (7th Jan, 9:30am) we will kick off the series with an overview of the book of Genesis. From then on, we will go word by word and line by line through the book. May God bless this endeavour.
As 2017 draws to a close, let's rejoice and be glad for God's many mercies and blessings. As 2018 looms large, let's go forward with hope and gratitude for the sure knowledge that God goes with us.
Join us on New Year's Eve morning! Visitors are welcome. This year, NYE falls on a regular Sunday, and as such the service will be at the regular Sunday time of 9:30am.
When Jesus was born, God's promises were fulfilled.
Ultimately, God promised us that we would be reunited with him in "the garden." That is what Jesus accomplished and therefore we celebrate his birth every year at Christmas.
Join us for our Christmas worship service! We will be singing many of the much-loved Christmas hymns. Visitors are welcome.
Note that the Christmas service starts at 9:00am.
